...turns out I worked at the same think-tank with the father of a former SVP at the place I'm most keen on getting hired with.
I've also got a solid contact with the Chamber of Commerce president there now. Both came by way of one of our prospective lenders there. Really tremendous luck with a town of Santa Fe's size to get that kind of contact. Hope it pans out.
Realtor came to look at our place today... we got some work in front of us, but nothing insurmountable. Still iffy on both job and house front, but we're just trying to keep doing what we have to do day by day.
I'm really anxious to get back to work in any case. Not in danger of going broke by any stretch, but I need to be doing more with my day than thinking about this shit and moving.
“Don’t overplay. Don’t overplay. Less is more. It will always be: less is more. Nobody is ever going to remember all those fancy solos - even the guys that play them, most of them won’t remember - so play some licks that people can walk away humming, that people can identify with." --Steve Cropper
