...and those allegedly run some sort of stroked Pinto engine. I don't know a thing about them, but my guess is they're pretty tough if they're used that widely.
The engine in my friend's car (rented) is a 1.9L engine from a Fiesta. Must be dead simple with no timing advance option as it's only making 135hp max. All the engines are tested and sealed by SCCA I guess. Pretty cool way to race on a relative budget.
