There's a lot of dishonesty on both sides, it's just been a wedge issue too long......

There are plenty of great reasons to have ARs (I intend to), but a lot of people should really quit pretending the rise of the sporting rifle didn't take place largely during the '94 restrictions, which were allegedly going to wipe out freedom. Similar restrictions being proposed right now are being met with enforcement refusals from local sheriffs and I think that's a pretty worrying sign.

Anyway, toothpaste ain't goin back in the tube. I'll continue to say a Democrat who'd just vocally say this isn't the time for the fight and get photographed shooting some deer would be a hugely successful candidate at reaching the rural voters that went for Trump.
