In part, Euro rotors tend to be soft and don't last as long. It's also easier than dealing with getting them turned. Just pull off the old stuff and put on the new. Done.
I mean, to me. $75 for each rotor (discount, el cheapo), and the bracket I need to replace the one I may have broken is $250 new. You can google "Caliper bracket" and get one "in general" for $15-$20 new. Ho ho ho, not for you, Tiguan Owner!
Fortunately I found one on ebay for $29, OBO, it's with caliper so hopefully the guy will take my $20 offer. I'm worried I fucked that bracket up.
