just got a call from the aftermarket installer who put 'em in back in '15........

..they're confident it's a simple switch replacement. Flat $25 charge for part + labor. Seems pretty kosher. They had my cell # in their system from the dealer already and were able to tell me my name/make/model/date installed as soon as they answered the phone.

They seem pretty legit==they have stores in KS, OR and CA and specialize in upholstery and other coachworks, so I feel comfortable that they know what they're doing.

So I'm taking it to them. I also talked with the owner and he said that their heating pads and controllers are sourced from the same supply as OEM. Only difference is that they don't route the switch control up to the console but put the switches on the seat rail bezel.
