Not to try and appeal to the Trumpets. There are far more people to be gained by motivating the vote than by trying to appease every last crazy.
Plus, as far as true independents or moderates go, compromise is a thing. I don't like any of the Democrats stance on guns. I think it is motivated by fear and lack of information, wanting to control the scary looking guns, which account for very little of gun violence, rather than actually figure out what kind of controls might be useful. I want to keep my SIG516, I like it.
However, I'm a reasonable person. If giving it up is the cost of having an adult in the Whitehouse that will look at fixing the systemic inequality in the US, then you can have it. I can't always have everything I want, and I'm ok with that.
