...in California, I had decent experience with early DSL, Comcast was decent enough when we got to MD, but then we had roughly 12 years with FiOS, just stupendous service that's sadly not available here and I still don't think Verizon has any plans to expand it.

So we're back on Comcast here. 400mbps down, 40 or something up (that synchronous FiOS at 800MBps is missed), and I haven't had an issue with it, and we've had it at two spots here in different parts of town.
