I bought Outer Worlds on day 1 specifically because it was compared favorably to New Vegas. After playing for a dozen hours I agree- it feels very much like playing the same game again (even though it's using Unreal Engine now?), and I have fond memories of NV but it's just not as compelling now.

    Paul scribbled on a napkin:
I’m not sure I actually finished New Vegas though. Fairly sure I went through 3 twice, same as Skyrim and Witcher 3.

Outer Worlds is like a reskin of those games in the early going though. Combat, character creation, etc.

I want to like it, just feels like I’ve played it (for dozens of hours) before. Ditto Borderlands 3. Just a repetitive retread in the way 2 wasn’t (to me).
