I had a good group.

But I gotta share the billing follies with you guys.

So I sent an invoice to the client, with whom I have been working for a year on getting this launched. He says, go ahead and bill me, and I said, okay, it's $100 (per/hr) x10 hrs. of sweat equity. No problem, right?

Well he pings me back and says, oh no no, more. Charge more!

Okay, I go to square, try to charge more. Like...I doubled it. And then tacked on last night's game hours.

Keep getting the high-hat from Square, reach out to the client. He says, oh, OK try my card, gives me card info. Before I input it, I say, "Hey, will this amount sink you"?

On FB, get message:

YES THIS WILL SINK ME (he didn't all-caps but I can imagine he might have)

Discord call starts ringing, it's him, he's...unclear...on why it's that much. I said, you said, "Charge more," so I doubled it, and this is what last night's cost was. He says, My God, I didn't realize...you meant $100 x10 in individual units. I thought you were only charging $100, which is why I thought it was way too low!

So we both laughed, I charged him the original amount, and we'll be doing weekly payments from there on out.

Thought you guys might get a laugh out of that.

Thank you, Gary Gygax.
