Originally I found a demonstration table way cheaper...but I was wary of it.........

This one is only 1.5K from a school supply house but when I looked at the spec sheet I balked--the base cabinet is particle board with laminate finish.

Which is fine if you can keep it absolutely dry all the time. And Ceramics= wet clay, slip castings, glazes etc. Students are hard on furniture, too..laminates don't handle impact very well.

I wanted something you could literally hammer on. So we went with heavy gauge stainless for the win.
