Speaking of old phones, I recovered one recently in a curious way......

Three-plus years ago, my last job mandated we use cellphones provided by the company versus the old practice of just BYOD and synching mail without an MDM.
Within about three months of having the new phone (an iPhone 8), I lost the damned thing. No financial hit to me, just looked like a goon and couldn't find it anywhere. House, truck, office, friends' houses, hotels I'd stayed at, etc.
Nada. I ended up getting an Android (S7 iirc) and it was okay but not a device I'd get for myself.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago I dropped a pen and it slid down into the plastic housing for the lapbelt retractor in my truck. That slot is about an inch wide. Never guess what I found when I got the pen.
Perfectly functional too. Been in there since at least the summer of 2017.
“Don’t overplay. Don’t overplay. Less is more. It will always be: less is more. Nobody is ever going to remember all those fancy solos - even the guys that play them, most of them won’t remember - so play some licks that people can walk away humming, that people can identify with." --Steve Cropper
